Presenting the Vineyard of the Year
We were thrilled to present South Australian vineyard Eden Hall with the Young Gun of Wine Vineyard of the Year Award at the recent virtual trophy ceremony.
Eden Hall is totally off grid, with viticulturist Dan Falkenberg and winemaker Phil Lehmann curating parcels with innovative pruning and nutrition programs that help craft their expressive, elegant wines.
We’re also raising our glass to all the finalists and category winners:
- New Vineyard of the Year: Mewstone, D’Entrecasteaux Channel (Tasmania)
- Old Vineyard of the Year: Henschke’s Hill of Grace, Eden Valley (SA)
- Innovative Vineyard of the Year: Alkina, Barossa Valley (SA)
“It’s an honour to be a principal sponsor for the awards,” says AME Group Managing Director, Cam Clifford.
“This is a rare opportunity to celebrate Australia’s best vineyards – and the people who work tirelessly to perfect wines with a focus on innovation and sustainability.”
Given the ongoing challenges the industry is facing with labour, climate and the unstable global export market, the awards are a welcomed reminder that our community are a resilient bunch producing world-class wines.
